About the Role

Reporting to the Suppy Chain Scheduling Supervisor within the IPRO (Integrated Remote Operations Centre) Logistics Team, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the scheduling and coordination of ore transportation across the mining supply chain for port and rail. This world-class control centre coordinates the near-term scheduling, planning and controlling of our mining operations from a central location delivering performance improvements across our value chain.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Actively managing the weekly vessel schedule to maximise outflow performance by working closely with external stakeholders (Marketing, Deviation Management, Port Coordinators, Port Control) and managing supply chain buffers in line with the current plan
  • Manage operational variability by applying knowledge of the outflow system and operating philosophies and through contingency plans based on risk assessment
  • Create and deliveer the 10 day vessel line-up based on inventory levels at mine and port, maintenance profile, OFR (Ore For Rail) and OOR (Ore On Rail) weekly schedules
  • Collaborate daily with Singapore Scheduling and Freight teams to ensure marketing contractual obligations are met and vessel queue is maintained in line with operating strategies
  • Ensure all relevant personnel are aware of the detailed requirements and any changes during the shift through regular communication and detailed handovers of operating strategies

In this full-time permanent position, you will be based at our Perth office working the sportsman roster (day-shift only) 4 days on, 5 days off, 5 days on, 4 days off, 5 days on, 5 days off (rotating)

About You

As a successful candidate you will possess the following:

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse audiences in a persuasive manner
  • Prior logistics experience with bulk commodities including rail and shipping operations would be advantageous
  • Demonstrated relevant experience within logistic supply chain is highly valued as is Port network knowledge
  • Experience working with SAP and supply chain planning tools will be deemed advantageous
  • Skilled in making pragmatic decisions whilst managing engagement with required stakeholders
