About the Role
The purpose of the Financial Markets Operations role is to efficiently and accurately process all outward AUD and foreign currency telegraphic transfers through iTAPS.
Your key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Processing all requests accurately and within a timely manner
- Liaise with the Branch network as required to ensure accurate payment information is obtained and payments are submitted
- Report outstanding payments to Team Leader
- Demonstrate a pro-active approach to servicing our clients and ensure that all service level requirements are met
- Compliance with the Bank’s Treasury Risk Policies and AFMA Market Regulations
- Provide support to other team members and assist in the efficient daily processing of all transactions
- Provide value added, technically proficient support to key customers
- Assist senior officers with investigation of TT transactions as required
About You
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:
- Minimum 1 year’s data entry experience
- Full or partial completion of a university degree in Banking, Finance, Business (or similar), FINSIA Course, or equivalent qualification preferred
- Previous experience in a Treasury or International Operations environment with exposure to international banking and payments, and nostro accounts preferred
- Experience using an integrated TT processing systems preferred
- Previous reconciliation and/or investigations experience preferred
- Understanding of domestic and international Telegraphic Transfer processing procedures
- Knowledge of iTAPS and SWIFT
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong Data entry skills
- Impeccable accuracy and attention to detail
- Proven organizational and time management skills
