About the Opportunity
The BAE Systems Aviation Technical Training (ATT) project delivers all aviation trade training and technical manager training to the Australian Defence Force. Applications are now sought from qualified vocational education professionals, to join a united, genuine, and engaging team.
We now have an exciting opportunity for an Educational Support Officer, this role is the perfect opportunity to become a part of the future of Australian Defence aviation training, and help shape the Defence aviation technical workforce of the future. Reporting to the Training Governance Manager, you will have the opportunity to utilise your expertise, take your career to another level, and will be offered on a permanent and full time basis.

This opportunity will see you:
- Undertake educational/vocational specialist support activities and provide learning support and guidance to Australian Defence Force (ADF) trainees
- Monitor student trainee course progress for failure risks and trends, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and customer representative to address these
- Conduct scheduled and ad hoc aviation instructor standards assessments
- Conduct language, literacy and numeracy assessments and analysis for all incoming courses
- Provide support to the Training Governance Manager to ensure program compliance with relevant standards and legislations
- Support training development activities including providing educational advice and Aviation Technical Training support
- Conduct educational support and progress management interviews for trainees
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal, external and customer stakeholders
About you
- Educational support experience or vocational education training experience
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, support and inspire students
- A continuous improvement approach with the ability to develop effective relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
- Strong computer literacy skills
- Whilst not essential, a Diploma, Advanced Diploma or a Tertiary Degree in Education will be highly regarded.
