Your new role

Reporting to the Manager Health and Well-Being, the Senior Health and Wellbeing Advisor partners with the business and its stakeholders providing complex injury management support as well as developing and leading injury prevention initiatives and health programs. You will perform workplace assessments and be responsible for the development and delivery of education and health surveillance programs to promote a safe and healthy working environment in Ausgrid. This role will partner with the Safety team, People& Culture teams and business unit leadership.

We are looking for a degree qualified health professional with demonstrated experience in RTW coordination or injury management. This is a fantastic opportunity for anAllied Health Professional – ideally for an OT, Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist etc. You will have Workcover NSW accreditation in Adv RTW and experience working within a self-insured organisation preferably within heavy industry.

  • Strong analytical, research and problem solving skills with the ability to identify issues and resolve them with innovative solutions.
  • Highly developed communication and influencing skills, with a focus to deliver on multiple programs with competing deadlines.
  • Experience in planning, developing and presenting training sessions to staff at various levels of an organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in influencing and coaching all levels of the organization in injury management and health and wellbeing strategies and programs
  • Technical expertise based in biomechanics for conducting ergonomic, vehicle, plant and equipment assessments.
  • Sound knowledge of legislation, regulations and industry best practice policies and procedures covering occupational health and wellbeing and workers compensation.
