Meet our team!
This role sits within our Pricing team, which is responsible for developing distribution prices and tariff component structures, trial tariffs for emerging technologies, in addition to producing energy volume forecasts for the 1.8 million electricity customers located within our network.
Your new role
Reporting to the Network Pricing Manager this role will see you lead and develop energy consumption forecasts for Ausgrid’s pricing and regulatory proposals, management reports, and business plans. The role influences pricing decisions by providing high quality analysis of energy consumption scenarios; and engages with the Australian Energy Market Operator, energy industry groups, regulators, and research bodies on energy forecasting issues.

Energise us through your skills and qualifications in:
- Bachelor degree in relevant discipline (economics/finance, statistics, mathematics).
- At least three years’ experience in commodity, energy or other product forecasting.
- Sound knowledge / understanding of econometric and statistical forecasting methods.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to liaise across teams and foster strong working relationships.
- Demonstrated high proficiency and extensive experience in spreadsheet modelling principles and practices, preferably relating to energy forecasting.
- Proven analytical skills and ability to manage and analyse mass data with a high attention to detail and ability to reconcile outcomes and inputs.
- Ability to work constructively across Ausgrid divisions to obtain data and provide high quality energy forecasts.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate complex concepts using plain English/simple language to all levels of a large organisation.
- Sound time management skills to achieve deadlines and the ability to prioritise significant and urgent tasks.
