Your role at Ausgrid

Ausgrid is leading the industry in terms of environmental performance and are seeking an enthusiastic professional to join our close-knit team. Based at the Homebush depot and reporting to the Environmental Services Manager, you will have varied duties across the environmental portfolio and be responsible for:

  • Completing environmental assessments and approvals for powerlines and substations
  • Developing guidelines, procedures & interpreting legislative requirements
  • Improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our current processes
  • Conducting inspections and analysing our performance to ensure continuous improvement
  • Providing environmental management support to staff and contractors

This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis with a hybrid work from home model, 3 days office/2 days remote.

What we are looking for

You will be degree qualified with a passion for the environment and the ability to apply your knowledge across a broad range of projects to better serve our community. You will have extensive knowledge in environmental management and relevant NSW and Commonwealth legislation, how it will apply to Ausgrid and develop appropriate processes to suit.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with key stakeholders
  • Exceptional problem solving, organisation, planning and project management skills
  • Current Class C drivers licence
