Your role at Ausgrid
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Commercial Manager (Finance business partner) is responsible to support Metering and / or Infrastructure Services business units enabling them to achieve their business objectives and make informed decisions. You will prepare monthly financial reporting and performance analysis. This role will see you collaborate with business leaders in preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets, provide financial input into the annual business planning process and Australian Energy Regulator (AER) submissions and financial input into the commercial business cases and strategic initiatives. As well as:
- Provide ad-hoc insightful analysis and commercial support to business partners and leaders
- Conduct modelling, sensitivity and scenario analysis
- Identify and develop value adding propositions as a finance business partner
What we are looking for
The successful candidate will hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline coupled with proven experience (minimum 6-7 years) in corporate planning, analysis, reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
You demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. You thrive in an environment where you must plan and prioritise. You are detail orientated, agile, and work well in a collaborative work group. You have well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, high degree of initiative and flexibility. To be successful you will possess advanced computer skills including MS Excel as well as experience in SAP and/or TM1.
