About the role
An opportunity has arisen to join our Pring depot as an Operations Coordinator. You will use your effective communication and negotiation skills as you coordinate the day of operations at the depot. With a key focus on safety and customer service, you will ensure on-time running of trains through disciplined yard execution and deployment of traincrew.
- Continuous engagement with traincrew and yard staff from conducting pre-starts to assigning yard duties.
- Ensure the yard plan is executed safely and efficiently
- Ensure that all business activities comply with all the relevant legislation and company procedures
- Interface with Logistics and Rail Infrastructure Manager to ensure the train schedule is delivered safely and cost-effectively
- Participate and deliver input with incident / investigations
About you
You will pride yourself on your ability to deliver value to customers with integrity. Operating in a 24/7 shift-work environment, you will bring the following skills to the position:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Substantial level of analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
- Previous planning and leadership skills preferred
- Shunt qualified would be an advantage however, not essential
- Demonstrated ability in the use of computers and Microsoft Office suite
- Open C Class Drivers Licence along with the ability to work on a 24-hr rotating lifestyle roster
