Live Run Coordinator

About the role:
As a key member of the 24/7 Deployment team, reporting directly to the Duty Deployment Leader, the role involves coordinating daily train movements for the allocated rail corridor to ensure customer contracts are met. This includes coordinating all responses to operational issues relating to rollingstock, train crew and network access as well as any network rail corridor issues.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating and recording train movements within specific rail corridors to meet Aurizon’s requirements.
- Monitoring, executing and managing changes to train schedules and train crew rosters to ensure customer orders are met on time and in full.
- Analysing and interpreting data such Enterprise Agreement terms, train consist configurations, traincrew route competencies and alternative train routes to solve complex logistics problems that affect multiple stakeholders.
- Liaising with customers, as the first point of contact in the live run environment to advise train running information.
- Monitoring, responding to, and reporting on incidents and accidents and other disruptions impacting the normal operation of Aurizon’s services.
- Liaise with the network providers to ensure that paths and access requirements are available as per our contractual obligations.
About you:
- Previous experience in a similar operations logistics or supply chain role managing multiple jobs, issues, and stakeholders
- Ability to engage, influence, negotiate and perform with diverse work groups, in dynamic, 24/7 live run environment
- High level of skill in providing clear and succinct information, verbally and written
- Demonstrated tactical ability supported by resilience, decision making capability and conflict / incident management skills
- Able to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends on a 5-week rotation
- High level computer skills ideally with experience using logistics systems and the ability to learn new computer systems quickly
