Atlassian is looking for a new Engineering Manager to join our TechOps team. Our TechOps team is part of Team Insights whose mission is to unlock actionable insights that drive engineering and customer experience improvements across Atlassian. Our insights help ensure Atlassian’s products are available, scalable, and engineered to meet the ever-increasing demand for functionality and speed.
Tech Ops is a self-service platform used by Atlassian engineering teams to run effective service health rituals to drive operational health and maturity culture across all Atlassian teams. Our ever-growing set of modules (including SLOs, security, cost, incidents, alerts) provides key insights to our engineering teams. You will have a real impact by working with a product manager to create new ideas, solve problems, and set the direction for the team and product.
On your first day, we'll expect you to have:
- Experience leading and mentoring a team of engineers to help achieve their career goals
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity with agile software development methodologies
- Time management skills and the ability to balance multiple initiatives
- Experience with CI / CD
Experience in the following is preferred:
- Experience with remote and distributed teams
- Experience designing and operating microservices at scale
- Experience with SLOs and other reliability concepts
- Data Engineering
