Project Geologist

We are now seeking a Project Geologist to join our Australian Greenfields Exploration team on a permanent basis.
Accountable to the Manager: Australia Exploration, this role is split between the Perth office and various exploration projects in Australia. Given the nature of the role you will be required to spend time in the field and will be working on variable rosters based on specific programs of work.
The main tasks of the role include but are not limited to:
- Geological logging of drilling samples
- Supervision of exploration work programs including AC, RC and diamond drilling
- Project generation, work program design and collation and interpretation of results within assigned project areas
- Inputs into technical and safety reports and presentations as required
- Contribute to HSEC management initiatives, including daily and weekly safety meetings, hazard and risk management and implementing best practice ESG processes
The ideal candidate will possess:
- BSc in Geology with Honours
- Three to eight years of relevant experience in gold exploration, specific experience in a project geologist role is preferable
- A good understanding of software applications including MS Suite, GIS type software (Map Info and/or Arc View) and 3D software such as Leapfrog
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- An ability to work well in a team environment
- A results oriented, can-do approach and a desire to learn and take on new responsibilities
- The ability to work in remote locations for extended periods
- Current C class (manual) drivers licence
- Australian permanent residency
- A national police clearance
