About the role

In this role, you will provide ER advice to managers and employees. The role will predominantly focus on the retail business, however the successful candidate may be required to assist other areas of the business as required including Fuel Supply Chain and Corporate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build credibility and stakeholder relationships with the management team in the assigned region
  • Provides clarification and support to managers regarding HR policies and processes in a way that builds manager confidence, capability and self-sufficiency
  • Supports and coaches’ managers in relation to employee case management including disciplinary action with the Retail Operations business
  • Supports managers in interpretation of employment policies, legislation, awards, and other regulation
  • Executes proactive compliance interventions including audits to ensure compliance with all industrial instruments and relevant legislation

About you

You will be an individual who thoroughly enjoys providing employment relations advice and seeks to grow their knowledge and provide continuous improvements. As a team player, you will provide support to colleagues and the business where necessary. And you will be able to work autonomously, and work through problems with ambiguity.

Key skills and experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources / Employee Relations or relevant experience in an advisor role
  • A solid understanding of interpreting HR policies
  • An exposure to Award / Enterprise Agreement application in the workplace
