About the role:

Reporting to the QSR Operations Lead, the District Manager for Hungry Jacks will lead a team of Store/Restaurant Managers across multi-sites within the Central Coast district of New South Wales.

This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing Hungry Jacks restaurants. This role plays a critical part in ensuring overall success and profitability of the restaurants within the Central Coast region, whilst achieving and maintaining high performance KPI results by driving commercially appropriate decisions. Driving restaurant sales and focusing on clearly defined deliverables is a must. This role will foster a high-performance culture, whilst leading and motivating restaurant teams regarding operational standards and execution.

Key responsibilities:

  • Understand and analyse key trends in P&L performance and putting effective action plans in place to influence higher performing results.
  • Monitor the execution of QSR initiatives and promotional programs, whilst ensuring the customer offer is executed across each restaurant.
  • Provide strong coaching and leadership to Hungry Jacks restaurant leaders and crew members within the district, especially around customer satisfaction, policy adherence, hygiene standards, food safety and quality assurance of operations.
  • Develop workforce resourcing plans for your district, including implementation of workforce succession planning and training plans in accordance with Ampol QSR and Hungry Jacks requirements.
  • Drive compliance and ensure operations are conducted in a safe and timely manner.
  • Implement strategies to improve the overall dining experience and service quality for our customers including the review and use of customer feedback.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with Hungry Jacks and stakeholders to execute marketing initiatives and restaurant promotions.


About you:


An individual who is passionate about fostering a high-performing culture by coaching and mentoring restaurant leaders and team members to drive business results. Ideally, you will have previous high level multi-site QSR experience as a restaurant manager or QSR area manager/consultant, with a detailed understanding of P&L drivers from both restaurant and market level perspectives, matched with an ability to drive change and cost efficiencies. You will have the ability to develop solutions and put action plans in place, as well as be confident in utilising relevant financial reports and data to make sound restaurant business decisions. The District Manager will be a dynamic and results-orientated leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, whilst supporting their restaurant teams.

Key skills and experience:

  • Financial/commercial acumen, understanding P&L in a QSR context and exceptional people leadership capability.
  • High level multi-site QSR experience as a restaurant manager or QSR area manager/consultant in a similar space will be highly regarded.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Lead and promote a strong customer experience culture.
  • Strong attention to detail whilst holding teams accountable for maintaining excellent restaurant standards.
  • Ability to be available ‘on call’ outside of standard business hours.
  • Full unrestricted driver’s license.
