About the role:
Our B2B Commercial Sales Insights Analyst will source, review, investigate and interpret all relevant information sources including sales performance data from the business - customer, employee and external markets - to deliver insights and reasoning that supports our high performance B2B Sales Team and more broadly across Ampol.

This role will develop the systematic tools that will be utilised across the B2B Team and beyond.

  • Propose new automation of repeatable and plannable processes to maximise value capture in the B2B Sales Segment, uphold model integrity and manage key output parameters to those models
  • Develop, operate and enhance tools and models and leverage varied data inputs from both internal and external sources including Industry Landscape, Market Intel Register, and Quotation Models that drive innovation and test existing solutions
  • Take ownership of systems, tools and process to support the B2B Sales Team
  • Collaborate and engage with Internal SMEs from B2B and Ampol to ensure modelling accurately reflects the value drivers across the supply chain through to customer
  • Ascertain changes to performance drivers, when and how diagnosis and tools should be updated, and communicate updates effectively
  • Apply your refined skills in MS Excel, Power BI, Dare and SQL


About you:

You will have Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Logistics, Commercial and Business Analysis, Finance or Commodities Trading.

  • Direct experience gained from within a commercial business, supply chain or trading/hedging fields
  • Well-developed and practical understanding of programming/modelling
  • Ability to dissect and interpret complex datasets within CRM/Excel to identify key value drivers
  • Clear and unambiguous communication, verbal and written
  • Passion for translating data into a story to support a business case
  • Exposure to key management stakeholders, cost drivers and supply chains highly regarded
