Our Graduate Program runs over a 2 year period, and is aimed at developing our Graduates through mentoring, job rotation and internal and external training opportunities. This position is permanent, with the opportunity to be considred for roles with Alstom worldwide at the end of your program. Signalling & Infrastructure
In Australia, Alstom continues to strengthen our operations with the rollout of European Train Control Systems (ETCS) in both Sydney and Brisbane as well as the implementation of Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) solution for the Sydney Metro project, and the Melbourne Metro Tunnel. In addition, we have a significant footprint in the design, testing and commissioning of conventional signalling systems, with a centre of excellence based in Melbourne.
In 2019, Alstom was successful in securing our largest ever single order to supply 41 six-car electric trains and 2 three car diesel trains for Perth, Western Australia's METRONET Railcar Procurement Program. As part of the project we will design, manufacture and maintain the new railcars for a period of 30 years. Alstom also has a proud history manufacturing in Ballarat, Victoria, and is in the midst of gearing up for the production of the new X'Trapolis 2.0 project, as well as another large manufacturing base in Dandenong where we produce the VLocity trains for V-Line and Trams for Melbourne, in addition to modernisation programs.
