How to power a career pivot into the energy sector
I joined Alinta in 2017 and since then I have been fortunate to try different roles in Retail and Spot Trading, exposing me to a range of electricity and gas markets across Australia. I now work as a Commercial Advisor under the Trading and Portfolio Management team helping manage and create value in Alinta’s WA wholesale electricity and gas portfolio. Each day presents different challenges as I help plan and set our portfolio up for the future while managing rapid changes in the markets, such as the most recent electricity market reform in the WEM. The role is made even more exciting as I get to learn from amazing colleagues and collaborate with experienced people from the industry all working towards achieving common goals and doing things the One Alinta way.
