About the Role:
As the Director of Strategy & Business Development, you will join a Global Strategy team that drives strategy and business development projects to help Alcoa grow and thrive.
Based in our Booragoon office, you will manage and mentor internal strategy project teams to support Alcoa’s overall strategy and business goals.
Some of the major activities include:
Contributing to the development of Alcoa’s corporate strategy and long-term plans
Due diligence of projects / entities including country entry
Concept studies for greenfield, M&A, JVA and adjacent development opportunities
Developing business cases and making recommendations to pursue opportunities.
Relationship development, negotiations and agreement structuring with external stakeholders and counterparties.

What you can bring to the role:
Tertiary qualified degree with MBA or equivalent experience in Strategy and Business Development
Experience in project management, investment value and risk analyses, negotiation, agreement and deal structuring principles/process/execution
Demonstrated successful relationship building and stakeholder management (internal & external)
Ability to engage and lead teams without direct reporting supervision to deliver collaborative results
Experience working in the Minerals industry, preferably Aluminium
Experience in Asia, Indigenous engagement, exploration development or project concept and feasibility assessments highly regarded
