About the job

Are you passionate about the opportunity to help employees with their rehabilitation from work and non-work related injuries or illness? Do you want to help people feel and reach their physical best? We want to hear from Rehabilitation Consultants able to undertake best practice injury management and rehabilitation to achieve the best possible outcome! Based at Pinjarra, come and join the wider Occupational Health team to make a difference to our people and their contribution at work!

The aim of this role is both the maintenance of the highest standard of health and fitness of our employees, as well as ongoing job match meets physically sustainability. Furthermore, you will contribute to positive business impacts through a healthy and safe workforce by:

  • Assessing all injuries and illnesses to ensure progress is made towards standardised recovery times and clear rehabilitation goals,

  • Liaising with external medical specialists to coach and gain consensus on return to work (RTW) strategies, and developing formal RTW programs as per governing legislation,

  • Recognition and management of ‘fitness for work’ issues including drug, alcohol, fatigue and social issues which may impact on a safe working focus,

  • Counselling of individuals, and coaching management to support workers, and facilitate a successful return to work.

  • Working in a multidisciplinary team to apply an integrated, holistic approach to case management

About you

To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Occupational Nursing, Physiotherapy, or Medical Practitioner

  • Sound understanding of WA Workers Compensation legislation,

  • Ability to understand, influence, support and apply technical knowledge in logical and professional manner,

  • Strong process focus to support positive individual and business outcomes, with a high level of coordinating, planning and organising ability,

  • Foundations to develop good working relationships with the other health team members.
