Role Purpose
Aesop is seeking a thorough and passionate Wholesale Account Manager (Department Stores & Travel Retail) to join on a 12 month parental leave opportunity at our brand new Head Office space in Collingwood.
This role reports to the Wholesale Manager, ANZ and will be assisting in the expansion of Aesop’s wholesale business channel, focusing efforts on building Aesop’s presence in the Department Store and Travel Retail channels and brand awareness in existing markets.
This role will be responsible for supporting and developing current accounts to maximise the exposure and representation of the Aesop brand and products through an effective and relevant presence in Department Stores and Travel Retail stores in Australia and New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to)
Research, analyse and provide sales and business plans to Aesop’s Department Store and Travel Retail partners that are in line with Aesop’s positioning and philosophy
Monitor and analyse sales results on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis, identifying trends or concerns in revenue, margins and product mix and work with DS and TR to make positive changes
Ensure sales targets are reached and communicate with other relevant departments to ensure effective cross-department workflow
Manage all day-to-day requests made by DS and TR accounts as key contact for Buying Teams and follow up any issues with stock availability, order fill rates, stock quality, campaign assets, VM and training material
Work closely with the Operations, Training and Marketing Departments to ensure that updated pricelists and order forms, sample products, training material, product blueprints, pricing information, images and any other relevant product related material are sent to all DS and TR accounts
Establish relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and global counterparts and proactively share and seek insights
What we are looking for
Experience in a Wholesale role, sales or similar
Strong account management skills to proactively develop new and existing relationships
Natural curiosity and willingness to learn in order to develop new business opportunities and drive sales
Demonstrated ability to proactively present and escalate ideas, suggestions and problems to ensure continuous improvement
Strong financial acumen, analytical and advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel
Exceptional organisation, prioritisation and time management skills
Demonstrate attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
Hands-on, practical problem solving and process improvement skills and ability to complete tasks within set time frames
Exceptional experience building and fostering key internal and external relationships
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
