Work that matters
Accenture is a leading professional services company that embraces change to create 360-degree value for all. Bringing together leaders in strategy, industry experts, enterprise function practitioners, business intelligence professionals, cloud migration and management specialists, designers, data scientists, and many other skills, we work as one team to co-create each client’s unique path to change.
Here are some examples of how we combine our people’s talent and creativity with the latest technology to create the extraordinary:

- Strategists and cloud technology experts came together to help Judo Bank scale their operating systems and improve their ways of working to accelerate growth.
- Accenture Interactive worked with the UN Women Australia (UNWA) to create a powerful ad that tackles complacency on gender equality for International Women’s Day, and together won a Cannes Lion Bronze award.
- Our digital and marketing performance teams collaborated with Telstra to develop a data driven marketing approach to provide deeper insights, faster.
Be part of our team and help improve the way we live and work.

Equality for all
Inclusion and diversity is fundamental to the way we work at Accenture. We believe that the future workforce thrives in an environment where everyone can feel they belong and be at their best. We do not tolerate discrimination due to differences such as age, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, religion, or sexual orientation.
We want people of all backgrounds to truly be themselves at work, so that they are more engaged and inspired to create and innovate.
Our Inclusion & Diversity actions are focused on seven key pillars:
Gender equality
We’re working to achieve a gender-balanced workforce by 2025. This means, a workforce that is equally 50 percent women and 50 percent men for those whose gender is binary. We’re promoting women at all stages of their careers and investing in targeted support, flexible work arrangements and comprehensive training programs to help women thrive at Accenture.
Pride at Accenture
We’re committed to ensuring an inclusive environment for all our people—regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or expression. Our Pride at Accenture Network offers robust internal programs including specialised training and networking support for our LGBTIQ+ employees. We also sponsor the annual Sydney Mardi Gras Film Festival.
Cross-Cultural and Indigenous
Accenture’s culture of equality helps our people to thrive by transcending geographies and individual cultures to create a “culture of cultures” that allows them to be their authentic selves. As a multi-cultural organisation, we foster an environment where we embrace and celebrate our Indigenous heritage. Respect for the cultures, histories, knowledge, and rights of First Nation peoples is a central element of our Inclusion and Diversity agenda.
As part of our commitment to become the most inclusive and diverse company in Australia, we encourage our people to take part in cross-cultural awareness and unconscious bias training.
Empowering disability inclusion
We believe that disability inclusion matters. Each person has unique skills and talents to contribute. We help increase awareness through our training programs and use technology to provide accessibility
options for our people. We’re also committed to becoming a Disability Confident Recruiter as recognised by the Australian Network on Disability and have set a disability recruitment target of 8.7 percent by 2022.
Social Mobility
Social Mobility is about ensuring equality of opportunity for all motivated, capable and hard-working Australians and Kiwis, to help them achieve their maximum potential. Improving social mobility enables us to attract a more diverse talent pool, regardless of background and educational qualifications, creating a culture that drives innovation. Such thought diversity ensures whatever we design for our clients mirrors the society we live in, both now and in the future
Healthy Minds Network
Through our Healthy Minds Network, we strive to elevate mental health awareness in all our people, provide mental health support, reduce stigma, and give them the confidence to seek the help they need.
We also have various other programs available to support mental wellbeing:
- Thriving Minds: A training program to better understand personal stress triggers and reactions and provide guidance and strategies to manage this in a healthy way.
- Employee Assistance Program: A helpline for employees and their family members who need support, as well as free access to wellness apps such as Calm and WYSA.
- Wellness Wednesdays: Sessions with external experts to speak about health and wellbeing topics. Through these sessions, people can learn more about managing anxiety, building resilience, and more.
- Personal Crisis Support: Partnerships with Benestar, QLife, Lifeline Australia and Beyond Blue for free, confidential, and professional counselling and personal crisis support.
Veterans
We promote awareness and support for our veterans. Our goal is to be the employer of choice for veterans and reservists, by building innovative partnerships with organisations such as With You With Me that ensure that they succeed in their new careers with us.
Other partnerships include:
- Prince’s Trust Australia: Our work with the Prince’s Trust enables veterans and their families to get into entrepreneurship and self-employment.
- Legacy Brisbane: We’ve proudly supported Legacy Brisbane 2013, helping the charity through donations and volunteering.
Corporate Citizenship
At Accenture, we believe we all have the power to act for change. In ANZ, our people get one day of volunteering leave per year, and currently, we have a 50 percent volunteer participation rate, contributing to 15,444 volunteer hours to the communities we support.
We also work with many non-profit organisations to fund programs that benefit our local communities, with a particular focus on disadvantaged youth, First Nations people and women in need.
Some of our key partners and programs include:
Australian Business and Community Network
The Australian Business and Community Network (ABCN) is a not-for-profit that brings businesses and schools together to help upskill students from lower socio-economic areas. We’ve donated 140 laptops to help address the digital divide and make sure disadvantaged students can continue to learn from home.
Career Trackers
Career Trackers is a national non-profit organisation in Australia that helps create pathways and support systems for First Nations young adults to attend and graduate from university. We work with the organisation to offer industry experience through internships.
Eat Up
Eat Up is an Australian non-profit that helps feed hungry and disadvantaged school children. We have worked with Eat Up since 2017, supporting them through sponsorship, skilled volunteering, and pro bono work. Our people have contributed almost 1,000 volunteer hours, delivering more than 20,000 sandwiches to schools.
Bushfire Crisis Response and Recovery
In response to the devastating bushfires in 2019–2020, we quickly found ways to help through donations and volunteering. We mobilised a team to support the Australian Red Cross (ARC) bushfire relief operations and increased the number of paid volunteering days for bushfire-related cause. We were also able to help our people who were directly impacted with additional flexible work arrangements, and extended grief counselling and emotional support to impacted friends and community members.
Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA)

We are proud to be cited in the 2022 WGEA Employer of Choice for Gender Equality. This award recognises our commitment to workplace gender equality in Australia.
AWEI Platinum Employer 2021

Pride flies high at Accenture, and we are proud to have been recognised as a corporate leader that supports LGBTIQ+ employees and the broader LGBTIQ+ community in the Australian Workplace Equality Index’s 2021 Australian LGBTIQ+ Inclusion Awards.
